GOTCHA!!!

Team kent was out again targeting BARRED TOOTH STRIPE a very scarce moth in kent,on our 2nd vist to the coast after our last zero catch,this time it was me david and len with alan not being able to come,so three traps set pretty close together,by seven oclock still no sign,with the call of nature need i headed off as i was wandering back i noticed a geo with it wings closed on a privet so i took a closer look and it started flying so a quick swish of the net i bagged it,taking a closer look it was a BARRED TOOTH so headed back to the others with my goal in the net,upon getting back and showing the others  
the 2nd moth came to the trap job well done by team kent

THE PACE IS PICKING UP

With the weather warming and the evening not so cold a few more new moths have been turning up PALE PINION,DIURNEA FAGELLA,BRINDLED PUG,DOUBLE STRIPED PUG,EARLY TOOTH STRIPED.CLOUDED DRAB,TWIN SPOTTED QUAKER,Also this week i had pine beauty and yellow horned again

WHEN THE RAIN CAME

Yet another trip out last night up my local woods,with the the wind still howling and the on set of rain
the bolly went up
as soon it went up it started raining the first moth in was a skonking PINE BEAUTY


Then 3 common quaker,chestnut,satellite then march moths 27 in total 5pale b/beauty then it happen a moth was flying low to the ground and not settling then it found the trap and buzz around which felt like for ever it settled and i at last got a look at it YELLOW HORNED

a few hours spent in the rain and wind turn up two superb moths you not out you don't catch

Mirco marco whatever it is a moth,over the last few evenings been picking up a few strange ones which for a novice like me i find a bit confusing,had three moths potted at the weekend by david one has been id the other two waiting one

MARCHING MARCH

March is marching in and the garden moth scheme soon starts, also plenty of march moths emerging at the moment catching 4/5 most evenings up the wood,still waiting for my first garden record,but i did add to my garden list with pale brindled beauty 2 yesterday and one today
also adding common quaker and light brown apple moth
a couple of march moths to round things off
